Apple 'It's Glowtime' Event on September 9: iPhone 16 Series, Watch Ultra 3, and More

Apple has officially confirmed details about its biggest event of the year. The Cupertino-based tech giant will launch iPhone 16 Series, Watch Ultra 10, AirPods 4 on September 9 at 'It's Glowtime' event. The main highlight of the event will be the iPhone 16 Series that will feature Apple Intelligence and iOS 18 out of the box. The series will consist of four devices - iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.

iPhone 16 Series: What's New?

Apple is all set to launch iPhone 16 Series on September 9 in India at 10:30 PM IST. The dummy images reveal new design changes to the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. Both devices will feature a vertically aligned camera system on the rear. The iPhone 16 Pro models may be available in Bronze and Rose Gold colour options. 

All four iPhone 16 models will feature Apple Intelligence, however, it is unknown whether the AI features will be available at the time of the launch or via a software update. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have an additional capture button whereas the base model 16 and 16 Plus will take Action button from the iPhone 15 Pro Series.  The capture button will allow the user to capture or record video with one click, similar to what we have seen in Sony Xperia phones.

iPhone 16: 6.1-inch

iPhone 16 Plus: 6.7-inch

iPhone 16 Pro: 6.3-inch

iPhone 16 Pro Max: 6.9-inch

The Apple A18 Bionic chipset will power the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, whereas the A18 Pro SoC will power the Pro and Pro Max versions.

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will feature the same camera setup as their predecessors i.e. 48 MP main and 12MP ultrawide sensor, whereas the Pro and Pro Max versions will feature a 48MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera, and a 12 MP telephoto sensor. The ultrawide sensor is the biggest upgrade from the iPhone 15 Pro series.

Other Spotlights of Apple event

Apple is also expected to launch the next generation of Apple watches, Watch 10, Watch Ultra 3, and Watch SE 3. The brand is also expected to unveil the AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro (3rd generation). The event will also witness the official release of iOS 18 stable version.
